Meet Marty – A Passionate Automotive Expert & Business Leader
With a life-long passion for the automotive industry, Marty’s journey began early, starting his career at a Holden dealership in Castlemaine while still in school. After completing Year 12, he pursued his passion by undertaking a mechanical apprenticeship, which he proudly completed in 1991. Determined to grow his career, Marty made the move to Brisbane, where he secured a senior position at Zupps Holden, gaining invaluable experience over five years.
Recognising his leadership potential, Marty advanced to the role of 2IC at Holden Capalaba, where he continued to build his reputation in the industry. His passion for automotive excellence and customer service eventually led him to entrepreneurship. Marty purchased his first business, a Superfinish Express Mobile Paint Repair franchise, and successfully grew it before selling the operation in 2017.
That same year, Marty took the next step in his automotive career by acquiring the Rapid Tune Capalaba franchise. Under his leadership, the store quickly became an award-winning location, known for its high standards of workmanship, customer satisfaction, and strong team culture. Marty’s dedication to quality and his hands-on approach has earned the store a respected reputation in the local community.
Beyond the workshop, Marty is passionate about mentoring the next generation of technicians. When he’s not at the store, Marty can often be found working on his personal collection of muscle cars and motorbikes, combining his professional expertise with a genuine love for everything automotive.
